The layer of real estate located just behind the main commercial corridor of a downtown can present both physical and political challenges. Often this transitional area is populated with one and two family homes but are included in the commercial zoning district. The development of these parcels essentially pushes the commercial zone into the abutting neighborhoods eliciting considerable neighborhood concern and regulatory focus. Presented with this exact set of circumstances, 79 Noble Ave. was designed as a multi-family development with high level architecture aimed at provided a cogent transition from the commercial street to the residential area. Shifting from commercial to moderate density housing to one and two family homes provided a logical approach for this zone and this development parcel. 79 Noble Ave. was completed in 2008.
