NEW HAVEN >> First of all, BAR is not going anywhere.

Rumors were flying that the popular New Haven restaurant was going to have to vacate its space at 254 Crown St. now that the building it leases has been sold.

Frank Patrick, owner of BAR, said he is here to stay.

“We have a very long-term lease in place,” Patrick said of his arrangement with the new owners, which, according to land records, is Metro Star Capital.

Metro Star is owned by Robert Smith, whose company has built apartments in Milford and Hamden.
